What You Will Learn?
- In this class, we'll go over a few methods of making linocut prints with multiple colors. Linocut block prints are often black and white, which is just fine. Heck, that's what I usually do. But printing in color is also a ton of fun. Of course, coloring a linocut isn't like painting or digital art. There are limitations to what you can do, which create exciting challenges. .
- For this class, you'll need basic linocut tools: block, cutter, brayer, paper, something to press with (barren, spoon, or your own press), and of course, colored ink. Don't worry too much about which colors to get. If you have red, blue, and yellow, you can mix them to create more. .
- If you've never made a linocut print before, you'll want to learn that process first. You can do that by watching my previous Skillshare class. Questions? Feel free to comment within the class or contact me through mattreno.com. .
