What You Will Learn?
- Designing specifically for linocut can seem tricky and daunting, but we will discuss many common hurdles and tackle them together! We’ll cover concepts like working with a flipped image, positive vs. negative space, static vs. kinetic design, and balance of design elements. You don’t need any experience or knowledge of printmaking to take this class, only a curiosity about linocut! The only tools you will need for PART 1 are paper, pencil, a wooden spoon, and your linocut block (optional: one piece of carbon paper). .
