What You Will Learn?

  • Hi :) In this class, I'll show you how to make your own book with the Japanese Stab Stitch. I will show you both the basic and an advanced version..
  • You don't need to have much bookbinding experience, but you should be used to work with paper in general and know how to measure things out with a ruler. If you are familiar with that then you should be fine :) .
  • I will guide you step-by-step through the process:.
  • In the Project & Resources section, you will find a PDF with the materials you need. You can have a look at my hole punching templates, which I am using to avoid mistakes. Additionally, I included a PDF with some further advanced version of Japanese Stab Stitch versions that you can try out if you have the basics down..
  • If you don't know about paper grain you can check out the videos from my other class "Knowledge & Tools for bookbinding improvement"..
  • Let's start! :D.
