What You Will Learn?

• In my very first class, we will be concentrating on the most fundamental part of British Sign Language (BSL). This is of course the alphabet and finger spelling. As well as this, this course aims to teach you 5 basic set phrases which you can use along with finger spelling to be able to communicate anything in BSL. .

• Let me tell you a little about me:.
• Hi, my name is Ethan. I am a passionate linguist, being fascinated not only by spoken languages but signed languages. In respect to being fully transparent as a teacher on Skillshare, I think it's only right that you know I'm not completely fluent in everything in BSL, but I am fully fluent in everything I am teaching you on this course. I have practised BSL for a while as an interest and a passion as BSL was never never something that I was required to learn due to being deaf or knowing someone who is. When I was wanting to learn BSL, I didn't really find many great tutorials like you can find for learning French, for example. As a result, through Skillshare, I would like to build up a set of introductory courses helping more people be inspired to learn BSL as it truly is an interesting and great language..
