What You Will Learn?

  • If you have ever thought about becoming a licensed artist and want to understand how to create art that is sought out by the retail market that sells, this class is for you.  Licensing art is a great way for artist to earn income as a working full time profession.  It takes time and skill to understand what product developers are looking for when seeking art to represent their brand in a wide range of retail markets.  I specialize in home décor, so my art is designed for wall and other decorative items, however, what you will learn in this class will give you the skill to design and creative art for any industry such as textiles, earthenware, accessories, décor and much more..
  • The most important thing to learn in the industry is understanding what the customer is looking for and recreating their vision in your art.  This class is all about painting collections that are created for licensing your art to wholesalers and retailers in the mass market.  I dive in and break down the steps on how to read a creative brief, pull inspiration that fits within that brief, and get a little deeper on color selection and how you can broaden your pallet to fit within the color scheme given, plus adding contrasting colors that compliment the selection given.   Check out my into video to learn more about this class.  .
