What You Will Learn?

• I am passionate about creating digital art journaling pages using Procreate. What lights my fire the most is the fascinating and marvelous effects that can happen when I use blending modes on various layers of my project. I want to share that delightfulness with you and show you how something so simple to do in Procreate can help you create something fabulous. .
• Beginners to Procreate can easily follow along. All you need is an iPad with the Procreate app installed. I will be using an Apple Pencil, but it is not necessary for this class..
• Wondering why you should take this class? .
• Do you have thoughts rolling around in your head that you just need to get out? .
• Do you love the look of art journaling pages but just don’t have the time or materials to create the kind of amazing pages you see?.
• Class Overview:.
• -  I will begin by laying down some paint and marks using native Procreate brushes. .
• -  Then I will bring in a digital painted paper that I have provided in the resources (one of several.) I will experiment with the blending modes until I find the effect I like the most. .
• -  I will add in another digital paper, this time a gray scale textured paper (also provided) and try out the blend modes on this layer. Oh, I’m so excited just thinking about the amazing possibilities that I can achieve!.
•  - At this point I will decide if I want to bring in any more digital papers or if I want to add a layer of paint and mark making..
• -  Once I am loving how the background is looking I am ready to add some journaling. I will show you a couple different ways to add journaling..
•  - Then I will add a couple more design elements to the page and show you how to create shadows for those elements to create a more realistic look..
