- Embossing is an ancient technique that consists of working metal sheets, leather or other malleable materials, to obtain an ornamental figure in relief. There are plenty of things that you can create using this medium, and in this class I want to show you a way to turn this traditional technique into something more modern or contemporary..
- We’ll talk about the materials we need, and how to use what’s on hand to create an embossed like this. You don’t need any previous experience or additional knowledge to take this class, because I’ll show you the basics of metal embossing, so you can see that this technique may look a bit complicated, but its actually very simple and fun to do. .
- For the course project, we´ll create a piece starting from the sketching and transference through the embossing itself, and the final polish. I will show the whole process and you can do it alongside with me..
