Design a Digital Planner with Vectors in Affinity Designer

What You Will Learn?

• In this class, you'll learn how to design a digital planner using vector shapes in Affinity Designer!.
• I love using Affinity Designer for creating planners because it is so easy to create precise shapes, space them evenly, and add vector effects to the shapes.  It’s also super easy to add dates to the planner and keep the numbers properly aligned..
• You can choose to create either a dated or an undated planner as your class project.  I’ll show you options for both and we’ll talk about the pros and cons of creating a dated vs. an undated planner..
• When you watch this class, you’ll get a workbook with planner section ideas and color palettes.  I’ll share with you my finished planner, so you can play around with the links and customizable sections before you start designing your own..
• First we’ll look at how to create buttons and icons, and cover ways to add effects like glow, glitter, shine, and shadows.  We’ll cover how to use the precise movement tools in Affinity Designer to create evenly spaced lines, boxes, and buttons..
• We’ll look at how to create stickers and custom sections, so you can design a planner that is easily customizable for the user (whether that's you or your customers!)..
• In the class we’ll cover every step of the process from planning your layout to creating individual sticker pages in Goodnotes, so you can easily follow along with this class even if you have never worked with vectors or Affinity Designer before..
• You can use the planner you create in this class to offer as a free download, sell it on your website or a site like Etsy, or just use it yourself!.
• All you need to take this class is your iPad and the app Affinity Designer.  You could also use a similar app like Vectornator if you prefer working in a different vector app.  So, let’s get started!.
