What You Will Learn?

  • Do you love flowers and gardens?  I do!  Join me as we learn to hand embroider a plant which is found in many English gardens during the summer - the Hydrangea.  Learn to stitch 4 different stitches including French Knots, Fly Stitch and Lazy Daisy to create your own plant in a pot..
  • Never embroidered before? No problem - I talk you through what materials and equipment you will need and show you how to create each stitch to build up your final design..
  • I love textile crafts, I grew up learning to sew, embroider and knit and spent many years when my children were young doing cross stitch kits and patchwork until in 2009 I started the Certificate in Technical Hand Embroidery with the Royal School of Needlework based at Hampton Court Palace. .
  • I eventually went on to graduate with the Diploma in 2021 and am now sharing my skills. I love all forms of embroidery but especially enjoy stitching realistic flowers and birds as well as abstract geometric shapes through Blackwork, Whitework or Canvaswork.  I have also been involved in various textile groups where I have both extended my skills and shared them with others through talks.
