What You Will Learn?
- French Knots can be super daunting when you're just starting out with embroidery, so in this class we'll tackle all your fears with some strategies on the best way to stitch French Knots. We'll go through the best needles and fabric for this stitch, as well as apply them onto this super cute project, the Balloon House!.
- If you need a refresher on the basics, head over to my short & sweet introductory class; No Stress Embroidery for tips on transferring the pattern and getting started with embroidery! .
- Here are all the materials you'll need to stitch your project:.
- - 9 skeins of DMC embroidery thread (you'll find the colours that I used in the Project Guide, but feel free to use whatever you have at home!).
- - A Size 3 and a Size 1 embroidery needle (1 is the largest, 3 is the smallest).
- - 1 x square of heavyweight pure linen in your preferred colour.
- - 1 x square of calico fabric to practise your stitches (optional).
- - 1 x 6 inch wooden hoop.
- - 1 x heat erasable pen to transfer your pattern (Frixion brand is available at most grocery stores).
- - a pair of scissors - you don't need fancy embroidery scissors (although they're very pretty!), any sharp scissors will do!.
