What You Will Learn?

  • You have an intermediate level in French, but you sometimes struggle to write in French? .
  • This course is meant to help you improve your writing skills. In addition to the videos, you'll find many documents (texts in pdf, exercises, corrections, description of tasks...). They are accessible in the Project section..
  • First, you'll get better at writing emails in French: I'll give you some typical phrases you can use in formal as well as informal emails. I have provided you with a few exercises you can do to check your understanding of these phrases, and a final task for which you'll have to write three different emails yourself. Also, you'll find a proposition of correction for these tasks. .
  • Writing in French also implies you need to know a lot of vocabulary. That is why I created five texts about five different topics which will allow you to learn lots of new words and phrases. Again, you'll find some vocabulary exercises to use the words in context, and the corrections of these exercises. .
  • Finally, when you want to structure your ideas and construct a clear text in French, you need connective words to introduce your arguments and ideas. That is why you'll find a few videos explaining the use of the main connective words in French. In the resources, you'll find a recap of these connectives, the documents with the texts I used in the videos, and two exercises that you can do online. .
  • Once you've done all that, you'll be ready for the project - which consists in practising writing in French thanks to five different subjects. .
  • I hope this course will help you get better at writing in French! Don't forget that you need to practise as much as possible, and that it's also necessary to read in French: by doing so, you'll learn many things about the construction of sentences, typical phrases that are used in articles, texts or emails, and you'll be able to use them yourself. .
  • You can also watch my course about dictations to improve spelling in French, which is another skill you'll definitely need if you want to become better at writing. .
  • Good luck with the course!.
