What You Will Learn?
- Intermediate 5 String Banjo-Expand your Vocabulary !.
- In this course, you will learn many of the essential techniques and musical ideas that have helped me in my 20 year career as a professional Bluegrass Banjo player and instructor. You will learn standard Bluegrass tunes that are played in all the jam sessions and Bluegrass festivals such as, Train 45, Long Journey Home, Red River Valley, Arkansas Traveler, Cripple Creek and more. You will learn how to combine scales with roll patterns so you can improvise and create your own solos. I will show you many ways to practice with the metronome so you can improve your tone, timing and increase speed. You will learn different intervals such as 3rds and 6ths and how to use them with rolls in order to help you understand the neck as a whole. I will discuss how to play up the neck solos using partial chords so you can add excitement to your solos! You will also learn how to play up the neck backup and use movable chord positions so you can jam with others. Practice Tip: (Listen to each recorded example in the video lesson very close) Ear training is very important! Also try to play along with the recorded examples once the tunes are under your fingers. This will help to absorb the material much more quickly. This course features multiple camera angles so you will have a clear viewing experience. With regular practice, I know this course will help all who study the material presented. The most important thing is to have fun and keep picking! Thanks, Chris Elliott.
