• By pairing different pottery techniques together and exploring different forms for creative expression you’ll start to see your art take a new and exciting shape...specifically the shape of a little scruffy garden gnome. .
• Not to mention, gnomes are a very versatile ceramic form useful as paperweights, garden art, a wall vase, a cooking companion, locker buddies, and even for making new friends at work! .
• For supplies, go no further than your own pottery studio (or your friend's house, or the new studio down the street...) and make sure you have access to the following materials:.
• *Gnomes do not have to be finished in the kiln...feel free to make them just for the sake of creating. The action of playing with the clay is key here, not necessarily the permanence or quality of the finished form. .
•  Along the way I’ll offer some variations in the gnome building practice or modifications that you can decide to use to best match your specific studio set-up. .
