What You’ll Learn

  • In this class you will learn a few of the basic knots for macrame and create your very own macrame crossbody bag that is the perfect size for your essentials! You will learn how to do some exciting knots such as a Larks head knot, square knots, double clove hitch knots, wrapping knot. These are some basic knots which will enable you to create some beautiful wall hangings and plant hangers. We will also be learning how to create a crown knot to make that fun tassel on the front of the bag! I think this would be good for students with an intermediate knowledge level of macrame, however, I do explain the steps on how to complete each different knot so that beginners may follow along and learn too! .
  • I do go over the measurements of cord in the video but sometimes its easier to have them written down too (I know I find it easier to follow measurements when they are typed out!).
  • I recommend using either 3ply or 4ply 3mm macrame cord, you can use the colour of your choice, I think this would be so pretty in a pink or blue colour! I go over a bit about the different cords in the second lesson..
