It is designed for those who would like to learn how to start weaving from the beginning, and the class only teaches the basic weaving stitches. We will be learning how to warp a loom, cast on with the twining stitch, practice plain weave and also learn the pick and pick stitch. With all of these skills, you will be able to make a set of hand woven coasters from start to finish. As our class goes on, you will be building a set of coasters - but this class teaches skills that can go much further! Beyond this class you can use the same skills to build tapestries, bookmarks, placemats or any other sort of project! If you are just learning weaving or wanting to try it out, this is the class for you. Basic skills are some of the most fundamental when creating a woven piece, and this class has a lot of tips and tricks to help you get started. .
